Steve blocked the punt 9 years ago against the Atlanta Falcons. On Thursday, October 15th Saints linebacker and New Orleans native, Michael Mauti, blocked a punt for a touchdown. This moment brought back memories of the block by Gleason that led to a touchdown on the first night the Superdome opened after Hurricane Katrina.
Gleason, in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for Michael Mauti's block that put the Saints up 14-0, tweeted a message to the Falcons soon afterward. #NeverPunt
